To Darn Cold For A Horse To Heal
you know what is really hard? Trying to get a wound clean when you have no water. we have been getting into the single digits at night and everything is frozen solid and has not thawed yet. We have been taking out buckets of water and a water bottle with a squirt top to clean his wound and then drying his leg off after. what things you will do for love. lol. Over all he is doing really well, still healing. i was hoping he would be healed up by the end of December but it does not look like that will happen. when the cold came the healing slowed. only time will tell. These pictures were taken on the 11th of this month, and as you can see he has a little bit of icky still around the outside. but it is still much better then it was two weeks ago. i have not heard from the vet yet and will keep you updated as soon as i do.
